In a remarkable feat, Indian opener Smriti Mandhana has etched her name in cricket history as the first female cricketer to surpass 11,000 international runs. This milestone was achieved during the Asian Games final against Sri Lanka, where she delivered an impressive performance, scoring 79 runs off just 45 balls, including five fours and seven sixes, achieving a strike rate of 175.56.

Mandhana holds the record for the most runs in women's T20 internationals, amassing 4,867 runs across 179 matches and 172 innings, with an average of 31.00 and a strike rate of 127.47. Her tally includes two centuries and 37 fifties, with a personal best of 124.

In the One Day Internationals (ODIs), she ranks as the sixth-highest run-scorer, having accumulated 5,411 runs in 120 matches at an impressive average of 47.88, featuring 14 centuries and 35 fifties, with a top score of 136.

Her Test career also shines, with 788 runs from nine matches at an average of 52.53, including two centuries and five fifties, and a highest score of 149.

Overall, Mandhana's record stands at 11,066 runs in 308 matches, complemented by 18 centuries, making her the leading run-scorer and century-maker in the history of women's cricket.

In the match, India won the toss and opted to bat first. A strong partnership of 99 runs between Smriti (79 runs off 45 balls) and Shafali (48 runs off 29 balls) set a solid foundation for the team. Although captain Harmanpreet Kaur managed only 19 runs from 17 balls, Richa Ghosh's explosive innings of 49 not out from 22 balls, featuring six fours and three sixes, propelled India to a total of 216/3.
