Initially, Gill was seen chatting with RCB's vice-captain Jitesh Sharma in a video that has since gone viral. Upon noticing Kohli, Gill approached his idol, leading to a warm embrace between the two. The four teams that will compete in the playoffs of the 2026 Indian Premier League have been confirmed. The winner of the first qualifier between RCB and GT will move on to the final, scheduled for May 31 in Ahmedabad. On Wednesday, Sunrisers Hyderabad will face Rajasthan Royals in the eliminator, with the victor advancing to the second qualifier, while the loser will be eliminated from the tournament. The winner of the Eliminator will then compete against the losing team from Qualifier 1 in Qualifier 2 to claim the final spot in the championship match.
