Saurashtra Secures Semi-Final Spot
Bengaluru (Karnataka) [India], January 12: Saurashtra clinched a place in the semi-finals of the Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025/26 by defeating Uttar Pradesh by 17 runs, utilizing the VJD Method during a rain-affected quarter-final at the BCCI Centre of Excellence on Monday.

Desai led the team to a score of 238 for 3 in just 40.1 overs before rain interrupted play. With the weather worsening, the umpires halted the match, and the VJD calculation awarded Saurashtra a 17-run victory, ensuring their progression to the semi-finals.
In addition to Desai's century, Prerak Mankad contributed significantly with a well-played 67 off 66 balls before being dismissed by Prashant Veer.
