The former cricketer was a major attraction at Wimbledon, where he was seen in the Royal Box enjoying the match between Alexander Zverev and Britain's Arthur Fery, which Zverev won to reach his first men's singles final at the prestigious tournament.
Wimbledon welcomed Tendulkar back to Centre Court with a post on X, saying, "Cricket royalty returns to the Royal Box. Welcome back to Wimbledon, Sachin Tendulkar."
Star Sports also highlighted Tendulkar's presence, with a commentator referring to him as "the greatest batsman of all time" while the cameras captured him enjoying the match.
Tendulkar was joined by former West Indies captain Brian Lara, showcasing their camaraderie after years of rivalry. Current India Test captain Shubman Gill was also present, adding to the cricketing elite at the event.
The Royal Box also included notable football figures, such as Liverpool's Virgil van Dijk and Leeds United chairman Paraag Marathe.
On the court, Zverev defeated Fery with a score of 7-6(0), 6-2, 6-4, securing his place in the Wimbledon final after a dominant performance.
This victory marks Zverev's first Wimbledon final and his fifth Grand Slam title match, making him only the third German man in the Open Era to achieve this feat, following Boris Becker and Michael Stich.
Despite the loss, Fery's impressive journey to the semi-finals captured the hearts of British fans, as he climbed to World No. 36 in the ATP Live Rankings after defeating several top players.
