Bhubaneswar (Odisha) [India], September 19: The Rourkela Superstars have officially launched their new jersey in preparation for the upcoming Odisha T20 League – CM Trophy at Prachi Sarovar in Bhubaneswar.

This exciting tournament is set to kick off on September 20 at the renowned Barabati Stadium in Cuttack, featuring six teams vying for the championship title. The competition will continue until September 29, with franchises eager to showcase their skills in this latest edition of the state’s T20 league, as stated in a press release from OTL.

The jersey unveiling signifies a significant moment for the Rourkela Superstars as they gear up for the tournament, fielding a team that blends youthful talent with seasoned players.

During the launch event, Santusht Bhatia, co-owner of the Rourkela Superstars, emphasized the franchise's commitment to nurturing young cricketers from Odisha and creating pathways for them to advance in their careers.

“Our goal is to elevate young cricketing talent from Odisha and offer promising players a chance to shine on a larger platform. We aim to establish a robust pathway for players statewide to gain essential exposure, enhance their skills, and learn from seasoned cricketers. Ultimately, we want to help them reach higher levels of the sport and represent both Odisha and the nation,” he stated.

Parth Luthra, another co-owner of the franchise, expressed optimism about the team assembled for the tournament, noting that the blend of experience and youth could lead to strong performances.

“I am thrilled with the team we have assembled for the tournament. We boast a well-rounded and competitive squad, with several players bringing valuable Ranji Trophy experience. I believe this mix of seasoned players and young talent positions us well, and we are confident in our ability to perform strongly throughout the tournament,” he remarked.
