In a remarkable display of resilience, Pant managed to score a crucial half-century on Day 2 despite battling through pain from a fractured toe.

He also commended the partnership between Indian captain Shubman Gill and KL Rahul, who combined for a solid 174-run stand that steadied India's innings.

“KL and Gill showed immense belief and determination. Losing two early wickets is tough, but they maintained their confidence, especially during the lunch break, knowing they needed to take their time,” he remarked.
