This marks the 15th occasion RCB has allowed an opposing player to score a century in IPL history, making them the team with the highest number of centuries conceded. They surpassed the previous record held by Kolkata Knight Riders, who had conceded 14 centuries. RCB is now the first team to witness 15 different players score centuries against them in the IPL.

Sai Sudharsan Makes IPL History

Sai Sudharsan achieved a remarkable 100 runs off just 58 balls. During his innings, he crossed the 2000-run milestone in his IPL career, doing so in only 47 innings, thus becoming the fastest player to reach this mark in IPL history, surpassing Chris Gayle's record of 48 innings. Sudharsan was eventually dismissed by Josh Hazlewood, who caught a straightforward catch.

This century marks Sudharsan's third in the IPL, making him one of only two players, alongside Shubman Gill, to have multiple centuries in the league.

Gujarat Titans Set a Challenging Target

Gujarat Titans scored 205 runs in their first innings after being invited to bat by RCB at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The opening pair of Sai Sudharsan and Shubman Gill started cautiously but quickly gained momentum. They formed a solid partnership, contributing 128 runs for the first wicket, marking their eighth 100+ run partnership in IPL history. Although Shubman Gill was dismissed for 32, Sudharsan continued to dominate, achieving his third IPL century and becoming the second GT player, after Shubman Gill, to score a century.

After Sudharsan's dismissal for 100 runs, GT's scoring rate slowed as RCB's bowlers tightened their grip. However, debutant Jasn Holder made a significant impact towards the end, scoring 23 runs off just 10 balls, helping GT reach a total of 205.
