Mumbai, Oct 16: Actors Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi are gearing up to appear on the popular quiz show ‘Kaun Banega Crorepati 18’, hosted by the legendary Amitabh Bachchan, to promote their upcoming film ‘Ramayana’.

Sources indicate that the filming is set for Saturday, where both actors will delve into discussions about the highly anticipated mythological film, sharing their experiences and insights regarding this ambitious project.

This appearance is timely as the film's release approaches, allowing the stars to reveal behind-the-scenes details and their connection to the epic narrative.

Viewers can expect an engaging episode, especially considering Ranbir's past collaboration with Bachchan in Ayan Mukerji’s ‘Brahmastra: Part One – Shiva’ in 2022, where Ranbir portrayed Shiva and Amitabh played Guru.

Ranbir also has a familial bond with the megastar through his late father, Rishi Kapoor, who starred alongside Bachchan in numerous films over the years, including classics like Kabhi Kabhie (1976) and Amar Akbar Anthony (1977).

Upon Rishi Kapoor's passing on April 30, 2020, Amitabh was among the first to express his sorrow on social media, stating: “T 3517 - He's GONE .. ! Rishi Kapoor .. gone .. just passed away .. I am destroyed !”

Additionally, Ranbir maintains a friendly relationship with Amitabh's son, Abhishek Bachchan.

As for ‘Ramayana’, the film features Ranbir as Lord Rama and Sai Pallavi as Sita. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, it is being produced on a grand scale and is intended to be a two-part adaptation of the epic, with the first part set to release globally on November 5, 2026.

The cast also includes Yash as Ravana, Ravi Dubey as Lakshman, and Sunny Deol as Hanuman, along with Arun Govil as King Dasharatha, Lara Dutta as Kaikeyi, and Kunal Kapoor as Indra.
