Nagoya, Japan - On September 20, Indian teqball athlete Quimcy Dsouza narrowly missed out on a bronze medal in the women's singles event, facing a tough challenge from local favorite Yuina Sakamoto. The match concluded with Sakamoto winning 2-0, with both games being fiercely contested.

The scores of 12-11 in each game highlighted the intensity of the match, as Dsouza lamented missed chances that could have altered the outcome. She had the opportunity to seize control early on, even holding a set point in the first game before Sakamoto made a remarkable comeback.

In the second game, Dsouza initially took the lead and managed to save a match point with a successful serve, but ultimately, Sakamoto capitalized on critical mistakes made by Dsouza at pivotal moments.
