PM Modi Applauds Medal Winners from Asian Games

New Delhi, September 28: Prime Minister Narendra Modi extended his heartfelt congratulations to Indian athletes Gulveer Singh, Yashvir Singh, Rohit Yadav, Murali Sreeshankar, Vithya Ramraj, and Parul Chaudhary for their remarkable achievements at the 2026 Asian Games held in Aichi-Nagoya.

In a post on X, the Prime Minister expressed pride in Gulveer Singh's silver medal victory in the Men's 1500m Final, emphasizing that it was a personal best for the athlete. He stated, “Congratulations to Gulveer Singh on winning the Silver in the Men’s 1500m at the Asian Games! His achievement becomes more special as it was a personal best. India is proud of him: PM @narendramodi.”

PM Modi also recognized Yashvir Singh and Rohit Yadav for their podium finishes in the men's javelin throw, with Yashvir securing silver and Rohit taking home bronze.
