Fatima Sana's Injury Update Before T20 World Cup
Birmingham [UK], June 14: Pakistan's captain, Fatima Sana, encountered a minor injury scare just before her team's opening match against India in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.
During a practice session on Saturday, Sana took a hit to her knee, but initial assessments suggest that the injury is not severe enough to sideline her from the crucial game.
In her pre-match press conference, Sana explained, “Ayesha (Zafar) baaji played the shot, and it hit my knee. I think it is good now,” indicating her optimism about her fitness.
When questioned about her availability for the highly anticipated match on Sunday, she confidently stated, “Yes, hopefully.”
