Relocation of Matches Due to Emergency

Peshawar, Pakistan - October 12: In light of the political unrest following the federal government's declaration of an emergency in the PTI-led Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) has decided to move the ongoing first-class President's Trophy Grade 1 matches from Peshawar and Abbottabad to new locations in Sheikhupura and Lahore, as reported by a sports news outlet.

This decision was made after the federal government, led by Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, received presidential approval for the emergency measures affecting Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, previously governed by the PTI.

This season's President's Trophy has been taking place across four cities, including Islamabad and Rawalpindi, which will continue to host matches as planned. The sixth round is set to commence on Monday, but fixtures that were to be held at Imran Khan Stadium in Peshawar and Abbottabad Cricket Stadium have been rescheduled to start on October 14.

In the upcoming matches, Ghani will compete against Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy at Rana Naveed Academy in Sheikhupura, while Sui Northern Gas Pipelines Limited will face Oil and Gas Development Company Limited at LCCA Ground, located next to Gaddafi Stadium in Lahore.

This round marks the second to last of the league stage. According to reports, LCCA Ground will also host the concluding match between Markhor IT Solutions and Pakistan TV, while Hyderabad Kingsmen Academy is set to play against State Bank of Pakistan at the National Cricket Ground in Islamabad. The Diamond Club ground will serve as an additional venue in the city.

The final round of matches has been delayed by one day and will now commence on October 19.
