Pakistan's T20I Squad Unveiled for Zimbabwe Series
Lahore [Pakistan], May 9: The Pakistan cricket team has revealed a 15-member roster for the upcoming three-match T20I series against Zimbabwe, scheduled to take place in Karachi from May 12 to 15.
Currently, Pakistan leads the ongoing ODI series against Zimbabwe with a commanding 2-0 advantage, with the final ODI match taking place in Karachi, as reported by the ICC.
Fatima Sana will lead the T20I squad, which includes promising uncapped players Amber Kainat and Saira Jabeen.
Amber, a right-arm seamer, showcased her talent in the recent National Women’s T20 Tournament, where she took 11 wickets across eight matches. Saira has previously been part of Pakistan's T20I lineup during the South Africa tour.
The squad also comprises seasoned players such as Aliya Riaz, Muneeba Ali, and Sadia Iqbal, as the team gears up for the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup starting on June 12.
Additionally, experienced players Sidra Amin and Diana Baig are included in the reserves. Sadaf Shamas, who has been Pakistan's top run-scorer in the ongoing ODI series with scores of 99 and 101, is also on the reserve list.
