New Delhi [India], September 2: England's fast bowler Ollie Robinson has significantly advanced in the ICC Men’s Test Bowling Rankings following his outstanding displays against Pakistan in the current three-match Test series, as reported by the ICC.

Robinson earned back-to-back Player of the Match accolades during England's ongoing World Test Championship series against Pakistan, taking eight wickets in the second Test at Lord's, which helped England secure the series victory.

His remarkable performance has propelled him six spots up to fifth place in the Test bowling rankings, marking his return to the top five for the first time since July 2023.

Australia's Mitchell Starc retains the top position as the No. 1 Test bowler, while other fast bowlers have also made significant progress. Sri Lanka's Asitha Fernando has moved up four places to 11th, England's Josh Tongue has climbed four spots to tie for 13th, and Pakistan's Mohammad Abbas has surged 10 places to share 15th.

In the Test batting rankings, England's Harry Brook continues to lead despite modest scores of 15 and 34 at Lord's. Australia's Steve Smith has ascended to second place, while England's Joe Root has dropped to third.

Sri Lanka's Kamindu Mendis has risen two spots to 10th after scoring a half-century against India. Pakistan's Saud Shakeel has jumped 15 places to 18th, and Sri Lanka's young talent Sonal Dinusha has made a remarkable leap of 29 spots to 25th. India's Devdutt Padikkal has also improved, moving up five places to 54th.

Changes were also noted in the latest T20I rankings. South Africa's Dewald Brevis has been one of the standout performers, climbing six places to fourth among T20I batters after impressive scores of 75, 75 not out, and 41 in the ongoing tri-series in Namibia.

India's Ishan Kishan remains the top T20I batter, followed by Pakistan's Sahibzada Farhan in second and India's Abhishek Sharma in third.

In T20I bowling, Afghanistan's Rashid Khan continues to hold the top position. Zimbabwe's Brad Evans has moved up eight places to 26th, while South Africa's Kwena Maphaka has made a notable jump of 24 places to 54th.
