The hosts showcased a strong performance, highlighted by a solid partnership between Devon Conway and Tom Latham, along with impactful bowling from Lockie Ferguson and Ben Sears.

After South Africa opted to bowl first, New Zealand set a challenging target of 175/6. Devon Conway played a crucial role at the top of the order, scoring a vital 60 runs off 49 balls. Despite losing partners frequently, including Tom Latham (11), Tim Robinson (1), Nick Kelly (21), and Mitchell Santner (20), Conway's steady presence ensured that the team did not falter as they had in the previous match.

Josh Clarkson added a thrilling finish, hitting 26 runs off just 9 balls, achieving a strike rate exceeding 288, and propelling New Zealand's total past 170.
