Lucknow (Uttar Pradesh) [India], August 19: The UP Warriorz have announced the appointment of Neetu David, a former Indian cricketer and ICC Hall of Famer, as their Chief Scout. This strategic move aims to bolster the franchise's efforts in discovering and nurturing emerging cricket talent across India.

Neetu David, a prominent figure in Indian women's cricket, brings a wealth of experience in playing, selection, and talent scouting. In her new position, she will lead the scouting initiatives for UP Warriorz, focusing on uncovering promising cricketers from grassroots and domestic levels, thereby enhancing the franchise's talent development pipeline, as stated in a release from the team.

Hailing from Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, David is celebrated for her remarkable achievements, including 141 ODI wickets and a world-record performance of 8/53 in a Women's Test innings. After her playing career, she took on the role of Chairperson for the BCCI's All-India Women's Selection Committee, where she gained significant expertise in talent identification and player growth. Her contributions to the sport were honored with her induction into the ICC Hall of Fame in 2024.
