Modern School Barakhamba Road Clinches DC School Cup 2025 Titles in Both Categories

In an exciting conclusion to the DC School Cup 2025, Modern School Barakhamba Road claimed victory in both the boys' and girls' categories. The girls' team defeated DPS RK Puram by 133 runs, while the boys' team overcame St Thomas School by 57 runs. This tournament, organized by Delhi Capitals, featured 16 schools in the boys' category and 4 in the girls', highlighting the growing cricketing talent in Delhi. With professional setups and BCCI-qualified officials, the event aimed to inspire the next generation of cricketers. Modern School Dominates DC School Cup 2025

New Delhi, December 25: Modern School Barakhamba Road has emerged victorious in the DC School Cup 2025, securing championships in both the boys' and girls' divisions. The girls' team triumphed over DPS RK Puram by a significant margin of 133 runs, while the boys' team defeated St Thomas School by 57 runs, marking a successful conclusion to the tournament.


A total of sixteen schools participated in the boys' competition, with four schools competing in the girls' category over several weeks of thrilling cricket. This initiative, organized by Delhi Capitals, has made a substantial impact on the cricketing landscape in Delhi, nurturing the next generation of cricket stars.


The DC School Cup, which is the flagship inter-school T20 tournament by Delhi Capitals, not only celebrated the sporting spirit of the city but also aimed to unearth emerging talent. The matches were officiated by BCCI-certified officials and held at prestigious venues like the Arun Jaitley Stadium and GMR ground, complete with professional match-day setups and kits.


In the girls' final, Modern School Barakhamba Road set a formidable target, scoring 240 runs for 2 wickets. Opener Myra Rewal contributed significantly with 83 runs off 53 balls, while captain Kashvi Kumar delivered an impressive 118 runs off 62 balls. Despite a valiant effort from DPS RK Puram, who managed 107 runs for 3 wickets, they fell short, with Avni Aggarwal taking 1 wicket for just 12 runs.


In the boys' final, Modern School Barakhamba Road again showcased their prowess, scoring 215 runs for 5 wickets. Tanmay Chaudhary was the standout performer, scoring 118 runs off 65 balls, supported by skipper Varun Sharma with 76 runs off 41 balls. St Thomas School could only muster 158 runs for 8 wickets, with Grihith Gumber taking 3 wickets for 43 runs and Tanmay contributing with 1 wicket for 15 runs, sealing the double championship for Modern School.
