In a gripping match at the I.S. Bindra Stadium in Mohali, the Ludhiana Lions showcased an impressive all-round display to defeat the Bathinda Royals by three wickets during the Sher-E-Punjab T20 League 2026, powered by Punjab Kings.

Arjun Rajput emerged as the standout performer, making significant contributions with both bat and ball. He took four wickets for 27 runs in his four overs and later scored a match-winning 82 runs off just 45 deliveries, leading Ludhiana to chase down a target of 166 with three wickets remaining.

Bathinda Royals batted first and started steadily, with their opening pair putting together 46 runs. Harnoor Singh was instrumental in this phase, scoring a brisk 38 runs off 19 balls, while Rishabh Gupta added 9 runs off 6 balls before being dismissed.

Despite losing a few wickets, the Royals stabilized their innings with a 50-run partnership between Noorveer Singh and Dev Amritpal Singh, setting a solid foundation for a strong finish.

However, the Ludhiana Lions' bowlers excelled in the latter half of the innings. Sahil Bhaskar and Rajput spearheaded the attack, claiming three and four wickets respectively, which hindered Bathinda's ability to accelerate their scoring. Ultimately, the Royals were bowled out for 165 runs.

The Lions' chase began poorly, as they found themselves at 29/4 within the first four overs, putting them under immense pressure.

Nevertheless, Krish Bhagat maintained his composure and ensured a smooth finish, remaining not out on 35 runs off 19 balls, leading the Ludhiana Lions to a memorable three-wicket victory.
