Lucas Digne's Move to Paris Saint-Germain

Aston Villa has officially announced that defender Lucas Digne has made a permanent switch to Paris Saint-Germain (PSG).

Digne, who joined Aston Villa from Everton in January 2022, has made a significant impact at the club, featuring in 182 matches, scoring four goals, and providing 24 assists during his tenure at Villa Park.

The French international was part of the Aston Villa team that secured the UEFA Europa League title last season and later represented France in the 2026 FIFA World Cup, where they reached the semi-finals.

In their announcement, Aston Villa praised Digne as a respected professional who garnered admiration from both teammates and staff throughout his time with the club.

“Lucas leaves Aston Villa with the best wishes of everyone at the football club, having been a consummate professional,” the club stated.
