Meanwhile, Manchester City, aided by Vitor Reis, managed to draw 2-2 against Brighton, ultimately winning 4-3 on penalties.
At Anfield, the match was filled with penalty drama. Chelsea took the lead with a penalty from Morgan Rogers in the 40th minute, followed closely by Cody Gakpo equalizing for Liverpool just three minutes later with another penalty.
