Earlier this month, the 84th Battalion of the CRPF inaugurated an open-air gym at its tactical headquarters in Chanderkot, as announced by Commandant Ranbir Singh.
During the inauguration, Commandant Singh remarked that the facility was opened on New Year's Day to symbolize a fresh start and renewed dedication. He noted that the area had suffered significant flood damage in August of the previous year, prompting the 84th Battalion to collaborate on restoration efforts.
Commandant Ranbir Singh expressed, "Today marks the beginning of the year, and to kick things off positively, we have launched an open-air gym at our tactical headquarters in Chanderkot. Following the floods last August, our team worked diligently to restore this site. The nearby Chenab River adds to the serene atmosphere here."
He further emphasized, "The 84th Battalion has successfully rebuilt this area after the flood devastation, and the proximity of the Chenab River enhances the refreshing environment for our personnel."
The newly established open-air gym aims to promote fitness and well-being among CRPF members. Officials noted that this initiative underscores the force's commitment to maintaining morale, health, and resilience, even in challenging environments.
