The fifth season is set to take place from January 14 to February 7, 2027, as per the announcement from WPL media.

Recognized as the premier T20 league in women's cricket, the WPL has become a vital platform for advancing the sport, uniting top players from India and across the globe while also providing a stage for emerging talents to showcase their skills at elite levels.

The first significant date leading up to the new season is the Player Retention deadline, which is scheduled for September 28, 2026. During this time, the five franchises will have the chance to retain players from their current rosters as they strategize for the upcoming season.
