Historic Achievements
Buttler's Record-Breaking Sixes
Buttler's five sixes set a new record for the most sixes hit by a non-opening batsman during the powerplay in IPL history. The only player to surpass this is Suresh Raina, who hit six sixes while batting at number three or lower during a memorable 25-ball 87 against Punjab Kings in the 2014 IPL qualifier. This innings remains the highest run total in the powerplay and boasts the best strike rate in IPL history.
Additionally, Buttler has now become the first wicketkeeper-batter to achieve five sixes in the powerplay on two occasions in IPL, matching his previous record set against the Capitals in 2018 while playing for Rajasthan Royals. Adam Gilchrist also managed five sixes against the same team in 2009.
Buttler's achievement is particularly notable as he is the first player to hit five sixes in the powerplay against the Capitals twice, marking a significant milestone for both him and the franchise.

Buttler's 47 runs are the second-highest for the Titans, following Saha's 54 in that match.
