England's Jos Buttler recently shared his joy over receiving a signed jersey from Indian cricket icon Rohit Sharma, whom he regards as one of his favorite players. Despite Rohit's struggles in the ODI series, he delivered a remarkable performance with a century in the final match at Lord's. Buttler's Admiration for Rohit Sharma

In a recent social media post, England's wicketkeeper-batter Jos Buttler shared his excitement about receiving a signed jersey from Indian cricket star Rohit Sharma. Following the ODI series against India, Buttler referred to Rohit as "one of his all-time favorite players."


Although Rohit faced challenges in the initial matches of the series, casting doubt on his ODI future ahead of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2027, he showcased his remarkable talent with a stunning century during a daunting chase of 388 runs in the final ODI at Lord's. This match marked Rohit's first international century at the historic venue, famously known as the 'Home of Cricket.'


Buttler took to Instagram to express his gratitude, posting a photo of the signed shirt and stating, "One opposition player’s shirt I’ve always wanted. One of my all-time favorite players. Will treasure this; thank you, @rohitsharma45."


Rohit concluded the ODI series against England with a total of 175 runs across three matches, averaging 58.33 with a strike rate of 98.31. His standout performance included a blistering 138 runs off 110 balls, featuring 17 fours and five sixes, although India ultimately lost the match by 27 runs. Despite the series defeat, Rohit's century and his partnership with Virat Kohli, who scored 74 runs, captivated the audience.


With an impressive record of 11,895 runs in 288 ODIs, Rohit boasts an average of 48.95 and a strike rate of 93.04, including 34 centuries and 62 fifties. He ranks seventh on the all-time ODI run-scoring list and is India's third-highest run-scorer in this format, trailing only Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar.


This year, Rohit has played nine ODIs, accumulating 379 runs at an average of 42.11, including one century and one fifty, with a top score of 138.
