In a remarkable achievement, England's Jos Buttler has overtaken West Indies cricketing icon Kieron Pollard to claim the title of the highest run-scorer in T20 cricket history. This milestone was reached during a match for the Manchester Super Giants (MSG) against Welsh Fire in the Men’s Hundred, where Buttler scored an explosive 51 runs off just 20 balls, featuring two fours and six sixes, achieving a strike rate of 250.00.

With a total of 14,833 runs in 522 T20 matches, Buttler has surpassed Pollard's tally of 14,803 runs from 746 games, which included two centuries. He also eclipsed the legendary Chris Gayle, who has 14,562 runs in 463 matches, boasting 22 centuries and 88 fifties.

In the match itself, Welsh Fire opted to bat first, posting a total of 155 runs for the loss of four wickets in 100 balls, thanks to solid performances from Matt Short, who scored 71 runs off 47 balls, and Phil Salt, who contributed 48 runs off 37 balls.
