Mumbai (Maharashtra) [India], August 11: Jonty Rhodes, the former South African cricket star, participated in the Rotterdam Dockers Jersey Unveiling Event as a co-owner in Mumbai on Tuesday.


During the event, Rhodes expressed the Rotterdam Dockers' enthusiasm for making a significant impact and aiding the advancement of cricket in Europe.


The European T20 Premier League (ETPL) is scheduled to take place from August 26 to September 20, 2026, at two prestigious venues: Voorburg Cricket Club in the Netherlands and Malahide Cricket Club in Ireland.


Rhodes stated, “The T20 Premier League is set to commence on August 26, which is just around the corner. We, the Rotterdam Dockers, are one of the six franchises in the league, and we are thrilled to explore the potential of European cricket.”


Over a span of 26 days, 32 matches will unfold as six teams from various parts of Europe vie for the inaugural league title, featuring a mix of renowned international players and exceptional local talent.
