In a remarkable display at the ICC Men's T20 World Cup 2026 final held at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad, Jasprit Bumrah made history by delivering a Player of the Match performance against New Zealand. He achieved a stunning four-wicket haul while conceding only 15 runs, leading to the Black Caps being dismissed for a mere 159 runs. This victory secured India a commanding win by 96 runs.


Bumrah concluded the tournament as one of the top wicket-takers, sharing the honor with teammate Varun Chakaravarty, both claiming 14 wickets over eight matches with an impressive economy rate of 6.21. His earlier contributions were pivotal in India's success during the 2024 tournament, where he was also named Player of the Tournament.
