In Glasgow, UK, on July 27, Indian boxer Jadumani Singh Mandengbam made a significant leap into the men's 55kg quarterfinals at the Commonwealth Games 2026. He achieved this by defeating Pakistan's Sumama Rehman with a commanding 5-0 unanimous decision during the Round of 16, as reported by a sports media outlet.

Jadumani showcased an exceptional performance against Rehman, ensuring India's aspirations for medals in this weight category remain strong.

The match between India and Pakistan was charged with the expected intensity of their sporting rivalry, with Jadumani continuing his remarkable journey in the Games. Previously, he had triumphed over Scotland's Aaron Cullen in the Round of 32.
