Indian Softball Cricket League Unveils New Jerseys

On Saturday, the Indian Softball Cricket League (ISCL) revealed its new jerseys for the upcoming second season, which is set to feature a total of 127 matches in Bengaluru from November 25 to December 30. This initiative aims to broaden the appeal of softball cricket and provide more opportunities for aspiring players.


The launch event was graced by former Indian cricketer Suresh Raina, alongside Harbhajan Singh, a former spinner and current brand ambassador for the league. Notable personalities such as actors Karishma Sharma and Shefali Bagga also attended the occasion.


The second season promises to span over a month, with a comprehensive schedule of 127 matches. The ISCL's goal is to unite players, teams, sponsors, and fans through a well-organized competition, thereby enhancing the platform for softball cricket in India.


Gangadhar Raju, the founder and president of the Softball Cricket Foundation, expressed, 'The launch of ISCL Season 2 signifies a pivotal moment in our mission to establish a robust and inclusive platform for softball cricket in India. With 127 matches on the agenda, we aim to broaden the sport's reach, create opportunities for players, and connect teams, partners, and audiences nationwide. Our commitment is to evolve ISCL into a professionally managed league that merges sporting excellence with extensive audience engagement. We eagerly anticipate an exhilarating season ahead.'


Suresh Raina emphasized the unifying power of sports, stating that it can inspire young talent and create opportunities beyond the field. He expressed optimism that the upcoming season would foster increased participation and provide players with a stage to showcase their skills.

It's heartening to witness initiatives like the Indian Softball Cricket League striving to enhance the sporting landscape in India. The leadership team of the league includes founder Gangadhar Raju, ISCL Board chairman B H Anil Kumar, and vice-chairman Sanjeev Singh. Team owners from Delhi, Punjab, Chandigarh, and Uttar Pradesh were also present at the launch.


With the commencement of its second season, ISCL aims to strengthen its footprint. This tournament, featuring 127 matches, represents a significant advancement in its mission to popularize softball cricket among a broader audience.
