Nikita Sehrawat led the Indian team in the 57kg category, showcasing an outstanding performance that took her to the championship final. However, she faced a tough challenge against the reigning U17 World silver medalist, Epenesa Elison from the USA, and despite her best efforts, she lost the match with a score of 0-6, earning a commendable silver medal for her efforts.

In the 49kg division, Kamna Babal demonstrated remarkable determination, clinching a bronze medal. After a semifinal defeat to Japan's Saika Uchida, she rebounded strongly in the third-place match, narrowly defeating Russia's Irina Tsydeeva with a score of 3-2.
