India's Bowling Attack Shines in ODI Against New Zealand

In the first One-Day International held on Wednesday, India's pace trio of Arshdeep Singh, Gurnoor Brar, and Anshul Kamboj showcased their skills by dismantling New Zealand's batting order, bowling them out for just 185 runs in 40.2 overs.

Arshdeep led the charge with impressive figures of 4 wickets for 70 runs, while Gurnoor contributed significantly with 3 for 44, and Anshul added 2 for 22. The bowlers took full advantage of the overcast conditions and the pitch's movement, keeping the New Zealand batsmen under constant pressure.

Although opener Tim Seifert managed to score 38 runs, New Zealand struggled to maintain partnerships, losing wickets consistently throughout their innings.

Glenn Phillips attempted to stabilize the innings with a score of 30 off 51 balls, but it was tailender Blair Tickner who provided a late surge, hitting four sixes in a rapid 34 runs off just 23 deliveries, momentarily troubling the Indian bowlers.

Earlier in the match, Indian captain Shubman Gill won the toss and chose to field, opting for a pace-heavy lineup that included four fast bowlers with a combined experience of only 29 ODIs.

Brief scores: New Zealand 185 all out in 40.2 overs (Tim Seifert 38, Daryl Mitchell 28, Glenn Phillips 30, Blair Tickner 34; Arshdeep Singh 4/70, Gurnoor Brar 3/44, Anshul Kamboj 2/22) vs India.
