Indian Women’s Relay Team Shines at Asian Relays Championships
Indian Women’s 4x100m Relay Team Secures Gold
On the concluding day of the second Asian Relays Championships, the Indian women's relay team, consisting of Srabani Nanda, SS Sneha, Sudeshna Shivankar, and Tamanna, triumphed by winning the gold medal in the 4x100m relay event.
They achieved a remarkable season-best time of 43.85 seconds.
In addition to their gold, the Indian squad also earned a silver medal in the mixed 4x400m relay and a bronze in the mixed 4x100m relay.
The mixed 4x400m team, featuring Theerthesh Shetty, Poovamma MR, Bharath Sridhar, and Neeru Pathak, clocked in at 3:17.06 seconds to secure silver.
Earlier, the mixed 4x100m team, which included Pranav Gaurav, Tamanna, Animesh Kujur, and SS Sneha, finished with a time of 41.27 seconds, earning them a bronze medal. Thailand took gold with a time of 41.14 seconds, while China claimed silver at 41.29 seconds.
The men's 4x400m relay team placed fifth, finishing in 3:05.33 seconds, with members Theerthesh Shetty, Avinash Krishna Kumar, Suraj A Raja, and Barath Sridhar.
Vietnam, China, and Sri Lanka completed the podium in that event with times of 3:02.60, 3:03.23, and 3:03.33 seconds, respectively.
The women's 4x400m relay team also competed, finishing fourth with a time of 3:34.88 seconds. The team comprised Saloni Nagar, Poovamma MR, Ansa Babu, and Rashdeep Kaur, while Vietnam, China, and Kazakhstan secured the top three spots.
