Aichi-Nagoya [Japan], September 21: The Indian women's table tennis team has successfully reached the quarterfinals of the ongoing Asian Games by defeating their long-time rivals, Pakistan, in their second Group F match on Monday.

Following a challenging 3-2 victory against Singapore on Sunday, Team India solidified their place in the quarterfinals with a dominant performance against Pakistan.

The match began with Suthirtha Mukherjee facing Aleena Khan, where she delivered a strong performance, winning 3-0 (11-3, 11-3, 11-4) and giving India an early advantage.

In a strategic move, India tested their bench strength by including Suthirtha and Syndrela Das in the lineup, replacing key players Diya Chitale and Yashaswini Ghorpade.
