India Shines in Women's Trap Team Event

In Nagoya, the Indian women's shooting squad achieved a remarkable feat by securing a silver medal in the trap team event during the Asian Games on Tuesday. The talented trio, consisting of Neeru Dhanda, Aashima Ahlawat, and Manisha Keer, amassed a total score of 328, placing them second to the gold medalists from China, who scored 346.

The Chinese team featured Liu Shanshan, Sun Yunong, and Zhu Jingyu, showcasing their exceptional skills. Meanwhile, the bronze medal was claimed by Kuwait, represented by Alhawal Shahad, Abdulmalik Hajar, and Alhawal Sarah, who finished with a score of 325.

Neeru Dhanda also made headlines by qualifying for the eight-shooter final, achieving a qualification Games record with a score of 118, tying with Qatar’s Ray Bassil. Ahlawat and Keer finished in the 16th and 23rd positions, respectively, in the individual event.
