The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL) has launched rider registrations for its Season 3 Mega Auction, marking a significant step in the league's growth. Following a successful Season 2, which saw over 155 elite riders from 13 countries compete, the upcoming season promises to elevate the competition further. With six franchise teams preparing for a high-stakes auction, the excitement is palpable. Exciting Developments in Indian Supercross Racing

Pune (Maharashtra) [India], April 27: The Indian Supercross Racing League (ISRL), recognized as the first franchise-based Supercross league globally, has commenced rider registrations for its upcoming Season 3 Mega Auction, signaling a new chapter in the league's evolution.


The second season marked a pivotal transformation in the league's scale, influence, and public perception. It not only intensified the competition but also redefined the motorsport landscape in India, enhancing its audience appeal and international significance, as stated in a recent announcement.


During Season 2, over 155 top-tier riders from 13 nations participated, showcasing their championship experience from regions including Europe, Australia, North America, and Southeast Asia. The events attracted more than 55,000 live attendees, while 14 million viewers tuned in across three races.


This season featured renowned international Supercross athletes and established a competitive framework for Indian riders to thrive.


All six franchise teams—BigRock Motorsports, Reise TorqRacers, Gujarat Trailblazers, Apollo Indewheelers Motorsports, Tricolour Motorsports, and BB Racing—are gearing up for a high-stakes Mega Auction to assemble their teams, setting the stage for an intense bidding war.


Eeshan Lokhande, Co-Founder of ISRL, remarked, “After two successful seasons, ISRL has evolved beyond a mere concept; it is now fostering a competitive ecosystem. With the global interest and local talent we have seen, we are entering Season 3 with renewed enthusiasm and confidence. Matt Moss, a nine-time Australian MX & SX Champion and two-time ISRL winner, expressed, “Having won two titles, I’m back to aim for a third. The competition level at ISRL has significantly increased, and the riders here are formidable. India has proven it can host world-class Supercross events, and ISRL has been one of my most rewarding racing experiences. Season 3 promises to be exceptional.”


Jordi Tixier, the 2014 MX2 World Champion, stated, “ISRL has rapidly become one of the most thrilling Supercross formats worldwide. The quality of the tracks and the competition matches that of top European events. The energy from the fans in India is unparalleled; it’s truly unique. I’m eager for Season 3 as this league is creating something that will be talked about for years to come.”


Indian Supercross champion Rugved Barguje reflected on the league's influence, saying, “ISRL has revolutionized Indian motorsport by establishing a professional and competitive environment for riders. Season 2 showcased prominent figures in global Supercross, including Jordi Tixier, Anthony Bourdon, Matt Moss, Charles Lefrancois, Adrien Escoffier, Maxime Desprey, Greg Aranda, Calvin Fonvieille, Hugo Manzato, and Adrien Malaval, among others.


The India-Asia Mix category also highlighted emerging talents like Delvintor Alfarizi and Nakami Vidi Makarim, who are becoming riders to watch. Indian champions Rugved Barguje, Ikshan Shanbhag, Prajwal Vishwanth, and Shlok Ghorpade delivered thrilling performances alongside international stars.


The registration process for Season 3 encompasses three categories: 450cc International, 250cc International, and 250cc India-Asia Mix. This registration is the initial step for riders to enter the official auction pool, from which franchise teams will select and form their squads for the upcoming season.
