Indian Shooters Secure Silver in Women's 50m Rifle Team Event at Asian Games

Indian Team Shines in Shooting Competition

The Indian shooting team, consisting of Tilottama Sen, Vidarsa Vinod, and Ashi Chouksey, clinched the silver medal in the women's 50m rifle 3 positions team event at the Asian Games on Saturday. Notably, the first two shooters also advanced to the individual finals.

With a total score of 1763, the Indian squad finished in second place, while China took home the gold medal, setting a new games record with a score of 1773. Kazakhstan secured the bronze medal with a score of 1754 after a tough competition.

In the individual rankings, Ashi and Tilottama both positioned themselves among the top three, scoring 395-25x and 395-23x, respectively, in the standing segment.

Meanwhile, world number 15 Vidarsa made an impressive comeback, finishing the qualification round in sixth place with a total score of 588.

Tilottama, who is ranked 107th globally, entered the final round in third place after achieving a score of 590 across the three shooting positions: kneeling, prone, and standing.

Ashi, ranked 18th in the world, had a strong start but concluded the qualification with a score of 585.
