Princedeep Singh emerged as the standout performer, making crucial saves during the shootout that echoed the skills of his coach, PR Sreejesh, a former goalkeeper for the senior Indian team.

Recognized as the Player of the Match, Princedeep was instrumental throughout the game, particularly during the third quarter when he thwarted Belgium's attempts, especially during their consecutive penalty corners. "I've learned a lot from Sreejesh, and his presence boosts my confidence. The match was thrilling, and the support from the crowd in Chennai was phenomenal," Princedeep remarked.

Sharda Nand Tiwari also played a pivotal role in the shootout, successfully converting three penalty strokes that kept India in contention. Ankit Pal ultimately scored the decisive goal, sealing the shootout at 4-3.

In the match, India displayed patience, eventually taking the lead in the 45th minute when Captain Rohit netted a spectacular dragflick, leveling the score at 1-1.
