Indian Golfers Gear Up for MCB Ladies Classic in Mauritius
Indian Contingent at MCB Ladies Classic
Port Louis, Mauritius - India is set to showcase a formidable lineup of four players at the inaugural MCB Ladies Classic Mauritius, with Diksha Dagar spearheading the team. She will be joined by Tvesa Malik, Vani Kapoor, and Hitaashee Bakshi, all competing at the picturesque Legends Course.
Vani Kapoor brings valuable experience to the tournament, having recently participated in the IGPL Invitation at the Anahita Course in Mauritius. In contrast, fellow Ladies European Tour (LET) players Pranavi Urs and Avani Prashanth have chosen to take a break and will not be competing.
Diksha, who is focused on winning the Women’s Indian Open this season, will kick off her tournament at 7:20 am alongside Alessandra Fanali and Alexandra Forsterling. Hitaashee Bakshi will team up with Lianna Bailey and Gabriella Cowley for the first two rounds.
Tvesa Malik, looking to reclaim her tour card, is paired with Lilly May Humphreys and Bobbi Brown. Vani Kapoor will start her round with Corrine Viden and Chloe Williams.
Attention will also be on England's Esme Hamilton, who recently celebrated her first LET victory at the Investec SA Women’s Open. With strong momentum, Hamilton has arrived in Mauritius and aims to continue her success, having moved up to fourth in the LET Order of Merit.
The tournament features a competitive field of 120 players competing in a 54-hole stroke play format at the Legends Course of Constance Belle Mare Plage, renowned for its narrow fairways and challenging greens.
Hamilton will commence her title pursuit at 7:40 am local time, playing alongside Agathe Laisne from France and Sweden’s Kajsa Arwefjall.
