In Aichi-Nagoya, Japan, on September 22, Indian cricket enthusiasts expressed their optimism regarding the women's team clinching the gold medal at the upcoming Asian Games 2026, especially as they prepare to face Sri Lanka.

Fan Anand Jaiswal shared his excitement, noting the vibrant atmosphere as the Indian women's team aims for victory. He stated, “It’s incredibly thrilling. We are brimming with energy, and it’s a proud moment for India, particularly for our women’s team. We believe they will secure the gold, and we are confident about defeating Sri Lanka.”

Reflecting on the recent triumph of the Indian women's team in the Asia Cup, Jaiswal expressed hope that they would replicate that success at the Asian Games. “That’s fantastic, right? The teams we were concerned about have been eliminated, so now it’s all in our hands. We are certain of a win against Sri Lanka, and we aim for gold. If not gold, silver will suffice for us!” he added.

Another supporter, Akash Pateria, shared his enthusiasm for attending a cricket event in Japan for the first time. “We are thrilled because this is our inaugural cricket event in Japan. We extend our heartfelt gratitude to the Government of India and the Indian Embassy for their unwavering support for sports and the Indian community here. We wish the Indian women’s cricket team the best and firmly believe they will bring home the gold,” Pateria remarked.
