During the ongoing ICC Men’s T20 World Cup 2026, several players and coaches from the Indian cricket team have embarked on a remarkable spiritual journey, visiting temples near match venues just prior to game day.

On the eve of the T20 World Cup final, head coach Gautam Gambhir, captain Suryakumar Yadav, and Hardik Pandya, along with other team members, paid a visit to the Hanuman Temple in Ahmedabad to seek divine blessings.

Before the pivotal semifinal against England in Mumbai on March 5, Gambhir, Suryakumar, Axar Patel, Ishan Kishan, and Abhishek Sharma visited the Shree Siddhivinayak Ganapati Temple on March 4.

In a similar vein, prior to the critical Super Eight match against the West Indies on March 1, Gambhir, batting coach Sitanshu Kotak, Suryakumar, Abhishek, and Axar sought blessings at the revered Kalighat temple in Kolkata.

Additionally, Abhishek and Axar had previously visited the historic Arulmigu Marundeeswarar Temple in Thiruvanmiyur, Chennai, to pray for success ahead of their Super 8 clash against Zimbabwe on February 25.
