Sharmila Dhankar's gold was particularly significant, as it marked a historic moment for para athletics in India. Shilpa K. In athletics, Sarvesh Kushare's silver in the men's high jump was complemented by Murali Sreeshankar and Lokesh Satyanathan qualifying for the long jump finals. The weightlifting team contributed three more medals, with Gyaneshwari Yadav winning silver, Bindyarani Devi earning bronze, and Valluri Ajaya Babu securing silver.

India's boxing and swimming teams also made strides, with several athletes advancing in their events, while Sajan Prakash and Swatik Patil reached the swimming finals. However, some athletes, including Tejas Shirse and Sumit Kundu, were eliminated from their competitions.

Overall, India's medal tally includes golds from Mirabai Chanu and Sharmila Dhankar, alongside five silvers and three bronzes across weightlifting, athletics, and para powerlifting.
