India Women's Cricket Team Announced for Australia Tour with New Faces

The BCCI has unveiled the India Women’s cricket team for their upcoming tour of Australia, highlighting the inclusion of newcomer Bharti Fulmali in the T20I squad. Led by Harmanpreet Kaur, the team will compete in three T20Is and three ODIs, starting from February 15, 2026. India Women's Squad for Australia Tour Revealed

New Delhi, January 17: The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) has officially announced the squads for the India Women’s cricket team ahead of their upcoming tour to Australia scheduled for February and March. Notably, batter Bharti Fulmali has received her first call-up to the national team, being included in the T20I lineup.


Harmanpreet Kaur will captain the defending ODI World Cup champions in both the T20I and ODI formats, with Smriti Mandhana serving as her vice-captain, as per the advisory from the BCCI.


The tour will commence with three T20I matches, starting on February 15, 2026, at the Sydney Cricket Ground. The second T20I is set for February 19 at Manuka Oval in Canberra, followed by the final T20I on February 21 at Adelaide Oval.


The ODI series will kick off on February 24 at the AB Field in Brisbane, with the second ODI taking place in Hobart on February 27, and the concluding match on March 1 at Bellerive Oval.


Additionally, both teams are scheduled to compete in a one-off Test match at Perth Stadium, with India’s squad for this red-ball game yet to be disclosed.

Recently, the India Women’s team completed a successful five-match T20I series against Sri Lanka at home, achieving a clean sweep with a 5-0 victory.
