India Prepares for T20I Series Against Zimbabwe Amidst Recent Struggles
India's Upcoming T20I Series in Zimbabwe
After facing their third consecutive series loss in the UK over the last month, Team India has arrived in Zimbabwe for a three-match T20I series. The squad, led by regular captain Shreyas Iyer, is under pressure as they have not secured a T20I victory since clinching the 2026 T20 World Cup title. Iyer's debut as captain was disappointing, with Ireland sweeping India 2-0. Following a match against England that was abandoned, India suffered four straight losses to the team led by Harry Brook.
Zimbabwe is not expected to pose a significant challenge, and India will be optimistic about achieving a clean sweep against the hosts, who have not defeated India since 2015. As the series approaches, here are the essential details:
Schedule
The three T20I matches between India and Zimbabwe are scheduled for July 23, 25, and 26. All games will take place at the Harare Sports Club in Harare, starting at 4:30 PM IST.
