This achievement occurred during the second ODI against Afghanistan, where India posted an impressive total of 402 runs before being bowled out in 49.5 overs.
Following India and South Africa, England has recorded seven totals exceeding 400 runs, while Australia follows with three such scores. Notably, India's highest ODI score remains 418/5, achieved against the West Indies in 2011.
In this match, Afghanistan chose to bowl first. However, India's captain Shubman Gill led the charge with a stunning 154 runs off 110 balls, complemented by Ishan Kishan's explosive 125 runs from just 79 balls. Their efforts propelled India to a formidable total of 402.
For Afghanistan, Nangeyaliya Kharoti was the standout bowler, claiming 4 wickets for 76 runs, while Rashid Khan contributed with 3 wickets for 48 runs. Afghanistan now faces the challenge of chasing down 403 runs to equalize the series.
