Inauguration of Advanced STEM Lab at CM Shri School in Janakpuri

A new STEM Lab has been inaugurated at CM Shri School in Janakpuri by Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood and Shikhar Dhawan. This initiative aims to enhance technology-enabled learning in government schools, providing students with hands-on experiences in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. The lab is part of the broader STEM Shiksha initiative, which seeks to create future-ready educational opportunities. With the support of the Delhi Government and partnerships with organizations like Sportskeeda, this project is set to empower students and expand access to digital education across the region.
 

Launch of Innovative STEM Lab

On October 10, the Delhi Education Minister Ashish Sood, alongside Shikhar Dhawan, Chairperson of Da One Group, officially opened a cutting-edge STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) Lab at CM Shri School in Janakpuri. This event was part of the Seva Sankalp Abhiyan, celebrating 25 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's service and aiming to engage citizens in the vision of a developed India by 2047.


The establishment of the STEM Lab is a key component of the SDF's STEM Shiksha initiative, which aims to enhance technology-driven education across Delhi's government schools, as highlighted in a press release from the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation.


This new STEM Lab represents a significant expansion of the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation's Digital Shiksha program, which seeks to extend technology-enabled learning beyond traditional classrooms into specialized environments for practical exploration and experimentation. This initiative is being executed in partnership with the Government of NCT of Delhi, focusing on providing meaningful and future-oriented educational experiences for students in government schools.


Ashish Sood, the Minister of Home & Education for Delhi, remarked, "The Delhi Government, under Chief Minister Rekha Gupta's leadership, is dedicated to enhancing education through technology and creating advanced learning opportunities for children in our government schools. STEM Labs play a crucial role in this effort, allowing students to engage in experiential learning beyond textbooks. It is gratifying to see our vision for STEM Labs evolve with the launch of this second facility at CM Shri School, Janakpuri. We have a longstanding partnership with Shikhar Dhawan and Da One Group, and I encourage them to expand this STEM Lab initiative to more schools across Delhi."



Shikhar Dhawan expressed his enthusiasm, stating, "It is incredibly rewarding for us at the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation to witness this initiative expand to more schools in Delhi. When we initiated STEM Shiksha, our goal was to enhance access to technology-driven education across the region, supported by Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and Minister Ashish Sood. I appreciate the Delhi Government's trust in our STEM Shiksha initiative and am excited to have Sportskeeda as our CSR partner for the STEM Lab. We aim to further this initiative to empower children and enhance their access to digital education."

Since its inception, the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation's Digital Shiksha initiative has prioritized technology-enabled learning, with STEM Shiksha advancing this mission through dedicated spaces for hands-on learning in Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics.


The leadership of STEM Shiksha is in the capable hands of Sophie Dhawan, COO of Da One Group, and Anshita Gupta, CEO of Da One Group, who are committed to driving the Foundation's educational initiatives and strategic collaborations.
