Iconic Cricket Memorabilia to Be Showcased at MCA Museum
Exhibition of Cricket Treasures
The MCA Sharad Pawar Cricket Museum will host a remarkable exhibition featuring Sourav Ganguly’s iconic jersey, which he famously waved from the balcony at Lord’s in 2002. This event is scheduled for November 14, 15, and 17.
This showcase is a collaborative effort between the Mumbai Cricket Association and the Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC).
In addition to Ganguly's jersey, the exhibition will include several other significant items, such as Anil Kumble’s ODI cap, a medal from the historic 1982 Jubilee Test between India and England, Sachin Tendulkar’s ODI jumper, MS Dhoni’s ODI jersey, and Rahul Dravid’s Test jersey.
Ajinkya Naik, the president of MCA, expressed, “Cricket enthusiasts in Mumbai share a profound connection with the sport's rich legacy, and this exhibition offers a rare chance to view artefacts linked to some of India’s most celebrated cricketing figures.”
A representative from the MCC museum added, “We are excited to present some of our cherished artefacts to the knowledgeable cricket fans in Mumbai, fostering engagement for this new museum initiative in one of cricket's historic hubs.”
