Harmanpreet's Dream of Playing in Punjab

The Punjab government has revealed plans to host an international hockey tournament later this year, and Indian team captain Harmanpreet Singh expressed his excitement about the opportunity to represent India in his home state.

Following the World Cup in August and the Asian Games in September, the Indian hockey squad is set to participate in the Asian Champions Trophy in October. While details are still pending, the event is expected to take place in Jalandhar and Mohali, featuring teams from Pakistan, Japan, China, and Korea.

“Competing in an international tournament in Punjab is a dream come true for me,” Harmanpreet shared. “Every player from this state who represents India shares this aspiration,” he continued.
