Dubai [UAE], September 6: After leading her team to victory against Pakistan in the women's Asia Cup, Indian captain Harmanpreet Kaur expressed her joy and gratitude for becoming the first cricketer to captain a nation in 150 T20I matches, a milestone she never anticipated reaching.

In her landmark 150th T20I as captain, Harmanpreet secured the win by scoring the final runs and delivering a stellar bowling performance against Pakistan during their last league match in Dubai on Saturday. This victory propels India into the knockout stage with strong momentum.

Post-match, Harmanpreet remarked, “This was a crucial game for us, and I’m thrilled with how the entire team performed. We emphasize being ruthless, and I’m pleased with our execution today.”

She praised her bowlers for their exceptional efforts, adhering to their strategies and effectively reading the pitch conditions. “Understanding the pitch and executing plans accordingly is vital,” she noted.

Addressing the early loss of wickets while chasing a modest target of 56 runs, she stated, “It’s part of the game. They bowled well, but the key was to stay at the crease and finish the game quickly.”
