Bhullar's Performance at the International Series

In Rabat, Morocco, Gaganjeet Bhullar delivered a commendable performance, finishing with a score of 6-under at the USD 2 million International Series Morocco. However, it was Hong Kong's Taichi Kho who emerged victorious at the Royal Golf Dar Es Salam.

Bhullar concluded the tournament tied for 31st place after a steady par score in the final round. He managed to secure four birdies on the last day, but his efforts were marred by four bogeys.

Ajeetesh Sandhu and Karandeep Kochhar ended the tournament tied for 61st, finishing with scores of 4-over and 5-over, respectively, in the final round.

Challenges Faced by Sandhu and Kochhar

Sandhu faced a tough challenge on the final day, recording four bogeys on a demanding course. Similarly, Kochhar's round included four bogeys and a double bogey, although he did manage to score a birdie on the third hole.

Kho's Historic Win

Taichi Kho, who recently made headlines by winning Hong Kong's first-ever gold medal in golf at the Hangzhou Games in 2023, showcased his skills by finishing with just three bogeys over four days. He took the lead with a remarkable performance, going four under par through the first ten holes, including five birdies.

The crucial birdie came on the par-5 18th hole, solidifying his victory. Overnight leader Bubba Watson, a two-time Masters champion, struggled on the final hole, which allowed Kho to secure the title.

Kho's Reflections on His Journey

Kho's total score of 19-under par earned him a USD 360,000 prize, elevating him to second place in the Asian Tour Order of Merit, just behind Australia's Travis Smyth, and third in The International Series Ranking.

"This year has been long and filled with challenges, but I've grown significantly through it all. The effort I put in has been more important than the results. Golf can be unpredictable, but I've been fortunate lately," Kho expressed, reflecting on his emotional journey.

His victory also helped him move past the disappointment of a playoff loss on the Japan Golf Tour the previous week, leaving him visibly emotional after the win.
