England Secures Victory Against Panama

Los Angeles [US], June 28: In a pivotal match of the FIFA World Cup 2026, England achieved a convincing 2-0 win against Panama in New Jersey on Saturday, thanks to goals from Jude Bellingham and Harry Kane.

Bellingham showcased his talent with a goal and an assist, while Kane also contributed to the scoreline, helping England secure the victory.

Panama concluded their World Cup journey without earning any points or scoring a goal.

After a first half that ended without any goals, England broke the stalemate in the 62nd minute. Bellingham was quick to react to a corner, executing a clever finish at the near post to give his team a 1-0 lead.

Just six minutes later, England extended their lead. Bellingham provided a brilliant cross into the box, which Kane met with a powerful header, making it 2-0 in the 68th minute.

This goal marked a significant milestone for Kane, as he became England's all-time leading scorer in World Cup history with 11 goals, surpassing Gary Lineker's previous record of 10.

With this achievement, Kane also reached 18 goals in major international tournaments for England. He had equaled Lineker's record after scoring twice in the opening match against Croatia.

In a dramatic moment during the 90th minute, Panama believed they had scored, but the goal was disallowed due to offside, denying them a late consolation.

Under Thomas Tuchel's management, England started their campaign with an impressive 4-2 victory over Croatia but faced a disappointing 0-0 draw against Ghana in their second match.

With this win, England topped Group L, finishing the group stage on a high note. Croatia secured the second position, while Ghana, who had already qualified, ended up in third place.
